HENRICO, VA (WWBT) -

Richmond Police arrested a wanted fugitive Friday night that's been on the run for over a week.

Law enforcement from Richmond, Henrico and the U.S. Marshal's Regional Fugitive Task Force came together to arrest 21-year-old Daejshon-Terrique Blizzard in the 100 block of Engelside Drive in Henrico.

Mere hours after Richmond Police put out their second call for help Friday afternoon, the public responded and helped police locate Blizzard at Essex Village Apartments.

Blizzard is accused of injuring several officers with his car on June 10.

In the early morning hours of June 10, Richmond police say, they tried to stop Blizzard for a moving violation in the 1600 block of Lamb Avenue, near Gilpin Court.

Instead of stopping, police say, Blizzard purposefully turned his vehicle to run over two officers.

The injured officers were rushed to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries while Blizzard ran off, and has been on the run ever since.

We're told, Blizzard was arrested without incident.

Bilzzard was wanted for assaulting those officers but additional charges could be pending. He remains behind bars.
