It wasn't the post season Henderson County baseball fans are used to, missing out on the Kentucky Sweet 16's. However, one Colonel's performance was certainly worthy of statewide recognition.
Senior 3rd baseman and outfielder Kaleb Duckworth has been named Co-Mr. Baseball for the state of the Kentucky, sharing the title with Devin Hairston of Tate's Creek.
In his final season with the Colonels, the Western Kentucky bound Duckworth batted .447, swatted 7 home runs, knocked in 35 R-B-I'S. The slugger was named Gatorade player of the year for the Bluegrass State earlier this month.
