Evansville man killed in Vanderburgh Co. crash

VANDERBURGH CO., IN (WFIE) -

An Evansville man is dead after an accident in Vanderburgh County.

The Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office says 50-year-old Ronald W. Bobak killed in that accident. It happened around 9:30 Sunday night at Koressel and New Harmony Road. 

Deputies say the pickup Bobak was driving left the roadway for an unknown reason and flipped multiple times before coming to a stop on the roof. Authorities say Bobak was thrown from the pickup and was pronounced dead at the scene by the coroner.

The sheriff's office says Maria Stevens, a passenger in the pickup, was taken to Deaconess. We're told she appeared to have non-life threatening injuries.

Deputies say alcohol does appear to be a factor in the crash.
