A community bark park is set to open Thursday afternoon at Community Park in Henderson.
The grand opening and "leash cutting" for the facility on Madison Street will be at 4 p.m.
"We're excited to be able to offer a new amenity to the citizens of Henderson. We are glad that we can provide a safe, fun and appropriate location for our canine friends and their owners to enjoy in our parks," said Trace Stevens, Henderson Parks and Recreation Director.
On its website, the City of Henderson says the park is more than half an acre with shade trees, picnic tables, fencing, an area for unleashing dogs when coming and going, dog agility equipment and a doggy watering fountain.
There's a main dog play area and another play area for smaller dogs under 30 pounds.
