The 24th annual W.C. Handy Blue Fest starts Saturday morning in Henderson with the Street Strut parade at 10.
The festival is a celebration of the life of Henderson resident and "father of the blues" William Christopher Handy.
Along with the music there is plenty of food and organizers are expecting a big turnout.
"It's kinda where a lot of people that are not from here, they moved away, they always usually come back for Handy festival. It's kind of a good reunion," says festival chairman, Jeremy Myers.
The festival runs through June 14th.
