Fort Thomas man killed driving scooter

A Fort Thomas man driving a scooter was killed Thursday night when it was struck by another vehicle on Madison Pike in front of the Transit Authority of Northern Kentucky, Fort Wright Police said.

The 17-year-old driver of the vehicle, whose name is not being released at this time, appears to have been leaving the TANK lot. Police said the vehicle pulled out in front of a motor scooter driven by Stephen Dickman, who was driving northbound Madison Pike.

Dickman, 55, was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger -- Donald Ingram -- was transported to University of Cincinnati Medical Center and is in stable condition. Ingram, 48, lives in Taylor Mill.

Fort Wright and Kenton County police are investigating the accident.

The accident happened at approximately 9:41 p.m.
