*Tornado WATCH for the entire region until 9 p.m. EDT*
LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - An active evening is taking shape with numerous showers and thunderstorms across WAVE Country. Some of the storms could produce winds in excess of 65 mph and even an isolated tornado. Otherwise, lots of lightning and heavy rain is expected with these storms.
Until the cold front passes there will be a risk for storms. The timing of that actual front puts it near the Ohio River around 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. and our southern counties by midnight. Until then we will be under the gun.
Less humid air will work in tomorrow through early Saturday to give us a break before yet another strong storm system moves in Sunday with yet another chance for gusty thunderstorms.
This evening: Tornado WATCH until 9 p.m. EDT. Scattered showers and storms, some severe.
Overnight: Clearing out north to south.
Low: 65 (a bit cooler north)
Thursday: Becoming sunny. Humidity will continue to ease.
Friday: Sunny skies.
