DAVIESS CO., KY (WFIE) -

Three Daviess County Public School preschool sites have earned accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children.

Teachers at East View, Highland and Meadow Lands were involved in extensive self-studies and evaluations for the past year.

The preschool programs earned a perfect score of 100 in seven out of ten standards.

"We are so excited that we got it, it was a really long process, we are so thankful and hope that our families really appreciate the fact that we are a high quality program," said Tina Helwig, Highland Elementary preschool teacher.

Only eight percent of preschools and early childhood programs are awarded this accreditation.
