HARRISON COUNTY, IN (WAVE) - A teenager killed on Saturday in an off-road vehicle crash has been identified.

The victim was 17-year-old Chase Brannon, according to Harrison County Deputy Coroner Tracey Kinslow. Police said Brannon was a passenger in the vehicle when it ran off the west side of Tee Road around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, hit a tree, causing the vehicle to flip and hit a second tree.

The 19-year-old driver was taken to Harrison County Hospital with a non-life-threatening head wound and road rash, said Officer Kyle Reas with the Harrison County Sheriff's Department.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
