PEORIA, IL (AP) - Tuesday night members of the Peoria, Illinois City Council listened to a presentation to lure the LST 325 away from Evansville.
After 30 minutes of discussion the council decided it needed more information on costs and an alternative riverfront location before committing to making a final offer to the LST board.
Instead the council voted unanimously to revisit the issue at its June 24 meeting.
Assistant Peoria city manager Chris Setti says it will cost $1.5 million to build a dock for the LST in Peoria.
Evansville's contract with the LST expires next year. The city is looking to extend that contract and keep the LST here.
