Council Executive Session set for Thursday
EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -
The Evansville City Council will hold an Executive Session on Thursday at 12:10 p.m.
According to the public notice, the session will be held, "for discussion of a member's alleged misconduct pursuant to Indiana Code 5-14-1.5-61.(b)(6)(A)"
City Council will hold a Special Meeting on Thursday immediately following the Executive Session.
On Monday, City Council President John Friend directed the city council's legal counsel to file a public notice for an Executive Session to remove Stephanie Brinkerhoff-Riley as council vice president.
Friend says that Brinkerhoff-Riley failed to submit her resignation as council vice president as requested.
The two met Friday and Friend told Brinkerhoff-Riley that the image of the council's leadership has been tarnished.
Brinkerhoff-Riley has admitted to secretly recording a confidential meeting about the city audit. She released that recording to the public.
