LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A Louisville man faces numerous charges after pulling out a loaded gun numerous times at a Bardstown Road bar and elsewhere in the Highlands, according to police.

Officers were dispatched to Cahoots at 1047 Bardstown Road just after 8 p.m. on Saturday on a report of an intoxicated man pulling a handgun out of his holster multiple times. When police arrived, the suspect, Joshua Adam Kent, 26, was outside the bar and began walking away from the establishment, an arrest report states.

Bar staff told police Kent was not allowed on the premises as soon as he walked into the bar openly carrying the weapon.

According to the arrest report, Kent caused "great alarm to other patrons and to several others walking around the Highlands on a Saturday evening by pulling the weapon out multiple times."

Police said the weapon was a 9mm handgun loaded with 12 hollow point rounds in the magazine and one hollow point in the chamber.

Kent admitted to an officer that he took out the weapon, but he claimed he only showed it to a friend.

Police said Kent was intoxicated on alcoholic beverages and was clearly a danger to himself and others.

He is charged with prohibited possession of a loaded gun in a room where alcoholic beverages are sold, disorderly conduct, alcohol intoxication in a public place and criminal trespassing.
