Smoky air continues to linger over Mt. Vernon and Evansville's west side.
Posey County Emergency Management tell us it's due to driftwood burning across the river in Kentucky.
People with asthma, breathing problems, compromised health, and the elderly are being urged to stay indoors, if possible.
Posey County officials have contacted the Indiana Department of Environmental Management to address the issue.
The director of the Evansville EPA tells 14 News he has an inspector out on the city's west side to check out reports of smoke and haze in that area as well.
