KY Voting day

Kentucky voters are heading to the polls this morning for the primary election.  Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell crisscrossed Kentucky Monday, landing in Owensboro last night.  McConnell is heavily favored in the polls over tea party-backed Matt Bevin.  We're also following several county races. Emily Busby will be live from Owensboro this morning with a preview.

KU Outage

The lights go out for thousands of K-U customers. A K-U spokesperson says around 17-thousand customers were without power just after midnight. We'll have the latest on Sunrise.

AMR Demo

This year for National Emergency Medical Services Week, our local American Medical Response is stepping it up a notch. They want to double the amount of people they train in compression-only CPR during their world-wide challenge. We'll have a live in-studio demonstration this morning at around 5:10 on Sunrise.

Warmer, windy

Today will be the third straight day with warmer temps. This afternoon and Wednesday will be warmer yet, with highs in the middle 80's. Winds will increase this afternoon with some gusts up to 30-miles an hour. Rain chances increase on Wednesday. Byron details our chances for severe weather in his 14 First Alert forecast.

So enjoy your day, and we'll see you on Sunrise.
