EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - People who are wondering what to do with all of those tree limbs that fell during last week's macroburst will soon get some help from the City of Evansville.

The Urban Forestry and Street Maintenance departments will be picking up tree debris from Monday, May 19 through Friday, May 30.

The pick up area is north of the Lloyd Expressway to the city limits and between St. Joseph Avenue and Green River Road.

People who live in that area should call the Street Maintenance Department at 435-7088 or 435-7089 to request a pickup for tree debris ONLY.

Limbs and logs cannot be longer than 8 feet and should be placed at the curb.  Tree roots and stumps will not be picked up.

If you are scheduled for heavy trash pickup from May 19 through May 30, you can put tree debris with your trash.  Debris may also be placed in your trash cart for pickup during your regular weekly trash collection.  Do not use your recycling cart for tree debris.

The limbs can be no longer than 4 feet and 2 inches in diameter. They should be bundled.

Also beginning Monday, May 19, Mulch, LLC will take your tree debris for a fee. It's located at 1528 North Fulton Avenue and open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturdays.
