LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The decision is in, and filly Ria Antonia will challenge the boys in the Preakness Stakes.

"I think California Chrome is a special horse, he is the one to beat without question, but after him, I do think that it's the rest, and I think she fits with the rest," trainer Tom Amoss said. "I give her a chance and as I said before, we're viewing this as an opportunity. We're running a healthy, sound horse, that's training very well and it's time to roll the dice."

Ria Antonia won the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies last fall, and finished sixth last time out in the Kentucky Oaks.

Calvin Borel worked the filly on Sunday at Churchill Downs and gets the mount in the race. Five fillies have won the Preakness, including Rachel Alexandra, with Borel aboard, in 2009.

"I know Calvin's confidence is very strong after that work and that's what I like," Amoss told reporters. " I like a rider that buckles his chin strap and says I'm going to win this race, and I know that's how Calvin feels."

The Preakness Stakes is Saturday at Pimlico Race Course. Post time is set for 6:18 p.m. with live coverage on WAVE 3 and NBC.
