LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The FBI will take over an investigation into claims that people were ripped off trying to buy tickets to the Kentucky Derby online.
During Derby week, New Albany police said numerous people claimed they were scammed by DerbyDeals.com. According to NAPD, the business has an address based at 815 East Market Street in New Albany.
The complaints ranged from people either not getting hotel rooms and tickets they ordered or that the rooms and seats weren't as good as advertised.
New Albany police said the victims saying they had been scammed by the website came from several states.
The FBI is asking anyone who was affected to contact them by email. Use the following link: FBI Louisville Division.
