Record Temps?

Another Warm and sunny day ahead, Temperatures this afternoon will climb into the upper 80's and reach near record highs. The winds will stay on the breezy side again this afternoon with winds as high and 25 mph. Byron has the 14 First Alert forecast.

Indiana Primary

Voters have made their choices and primary results are in.  In the hotly contested race for Vanderburgh County Commissioner, Marsha Abell, in her 4th year on the county commission, was defeated by political newcomer, and fellow republican Bruce Ungethiem. In the Warrick County Prosecutor's race, challenger Mike Perry defeated incumbent republican JoAnn Krantz. Perry is currently a Vanderburgh County Deputy Prosecutor.  More results are coming up on Sunrise.

Evansville standoff

A police standoff on Ravenswood Drive ends peacefully.  We'll have the details of the over four hour ordeal.

Bike to school day

Thousands of kids in Southwestern Indiana will be getting an extra big reminder to stay active from their schools today, as they bike to class.  Deanna Allbrittin will be live as our "spokes"-person on Sunrise.

Surplus auction

Going once, going twice, sold!  Daviess County Public Schools is putting five buses in a city surplus auction. Owensboro Public Schools is adding three more. The auction is hosted by the city of Owensboro on Thursday.  Emily Busby has all the info live from Owensboro this morning.
