2014 Indiana Primary Election is today

2014 Indiana Primary Election is today

The Civic Center is closed today for the primary election. The only people who will be in the building today are people casting their votes and the people assisting.

Remember the voting center system allows you to go to whichever voting center fits your schedule best.

Remember, the primary election is the last chance you have to decide who will represent your party on the ballot on November fourth.

There are quite a few candidates running unopposed in our region, so they'll be the de facto nominee for their party; however there are some races we'll be watching. That includes the Republican race for County Prosecutor in Warrick County. JoAnn Krantz is facing a challenge from Mike Perry for her office.

We'll also be following the District 4 city council seat race. John Montrastelle, member of the Evansville Convention and Visitors Bureau Board of Directors, is trying to unseat County Councilman Pete Swaim.

You have to cast your vote by 6 p.m. today, when all voting centers in Indiana close.

Our election team will be following the results later this evening as they come in. Stay tuned to 14 news on your television and online for up-to-date results.
