EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - A young Evansville girl who was seriously injured in a scooter accident in Evansville is back home.
The accident happened on April 1 at Washington and Kerth.
Breasha Wilson was riding on a scooter that was hit by a car.
The seven-year-old has spent the past month undergoing surgeries and rehab at Cincinnati Children's Hospital.
Her cousins were over Friday to celebrate Breasha's homecoming.
She says she did a lot of coloring while she was in the hospital and tells us she even got to go to the Children's Museum one day.
Breasha's family says they're thankful for the community's outpouring of support.
"You never know how big a community is until a tragedy happens. And once that happens, then you see people pouring in from everywhere for this little girl right here. And it's heartwarming. I don't think she knew she had that many friends," said Antoine Clark, Breasha's stepfather.
Breasha's teachers from Lincoln elementary stopped by on Friday with a banner signed by all of the students, and a few things to tell her how much they've missed her.
