Evansville City Council to vote on handing over consultant reports

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - As 14News first reported, the Evansville City Council will vote Monday night on whether to hand over reports by David Garrett to the city.

Garrett served as a financial consultant to city council for one year.

Garrett tells 14News there were personal notes he took while analyzing a report about the Ford Center and they were not paid for by taxpayer dollars.

A representative from Mayor Winnecke's Office says that's not true. In fact, Garrett was being paid as a consultant at the time.

The city wants to see what is in all of the reports Garrett wrote while serving as a consultant.
