Nonprofit donates equipment for Sheriff's Office K9
The Daviess County Sheriff's Office police dog recently received some gifts from a nonprofit organization. Vest Indiana K9 donated a bullet resistance vest, cooling vest, first aid and trauma kits. The Daviess County Sheriff's Office says the 12 hundred dollars worth of equipment will help their K9 Jordan during training and tracking. "It makes you feel a little bit better about sending him in on an armed suspect and he has a little bit more protection," said Deputy Russ Day.  Vest Indiana K9 used public donations to purchase the equipment.
