HENDERSON CO., KY (WFIE) - A work zone lane restriction for geotechnical work on the Audubon Parkway will be put in place Friday night.
We first told you about large dips that have formed along the Parkway in Henderson County.
Engineers have been closely monitoring the site since the dip in the road was reported earlier this week. They believe there may be additional soil movement beneath the roadway.
They've asked that the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet geotech team be allowed to speed up their evaluation of the area.
So, a lane restriction that was to begin Monday will start Friday instead.
All traffic will be moved to the right hand or driving lane between the 11 and 12 mile marker.
This will allow the drilling crew to start on Saturday morning.
Work is expected to continue through the weekend.
