According to Indiana State Police, when officers arrived at the home Thursday morning, they found Kristi Williams, 41, dead from undisclosed injuries around her neck.
Troopers are making sure the homicide scene is secure.
"What we plan on doing is keeping that scene for as long as we need to to make sure we have got every single piece of evidence that we need from the crime scene," said ISP spokesman Sgt. Jerry Goodin. "We're going to be very thorough. We are going to take our time, and we're going to make sure that it's done right."
State police declined to say whether Williams lived at the house.
