LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Crews shut down Interstate 64 eastbound at the 51 mile marker Thursday morning and rerouted traffic after a semi accident at the Graefenburg/Lawrenceburg exit at the 48 mile marker.

According to Kentucky State Police and Franklin County Dispatch, the semi driver fell asleep, left the road and overturned around 5 a.m.

Traffic will be rerouted from 151 north to US 60 east, then to 127 south and back on the interstate at the 53 mile marker while two large wreckers clear the accident scene.
