Joining forces initiative

As part of the third anniversary of their Joining Forces initiative, first lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden will address more than one thousand service members, spouses and over 100 employers at the Fort Campbell Veterans Jobs Summit and Career Forum. That event is at 11 this morning.  We'll also have information about a local "Hiring our Heroes" job fair in Evansville tomorrow.

EPD officer shooting

Evansville Police say they are investigating the second officer-involved shooting in a month. The incident happened Tuesday night near Margybeth Avenue and South Spring Street, after a woman called police about a man harassing her.

Restaurants for relief

The Red Cross Restaurants for Relief Event is set for today. Deanna Allbrittin is live on Sunrise with the story.

Cancer screenings & Ukraine benefit

Free screenings for oral cancer are being offered at clinic in Western Kentucky tomorrow.  Emily Busby will be live with the details. She'll also have information on a big concert event tonight benefiting the people of Ukraine.

Sunny today, rain tomorrow

High pressure built in behind a cold front and will bring dry and seasonable weather through early Thursday morning. Expect mostly sunny skies with high temps nearing 70 this afternoon. A fast moving weather system will bring a chance of rain and thunderstorms Thursday afternoon until late Thursday night.

So enjoy your day, and we'll see you on Sunrise.
