Happy Earth Day

Earth day is celebrated every April 22nd. It was created in the United States to increase public awareness of environmental problems. It's now celebrated by over a billion people in 180 nations.  Deanna Allbrittin will have more on local Earth Day events live on Sunrise. 

Sunny Earth Day

After some brief rain, high pressure will bring us sunny and cooler weather today. Byron says high temps should be in the middle to upper 60's, with a chance of rain and thunderstorms on Thursday.

Train accident

We expect to learn more today about a man who was killed while walking along some railroad tracks on the west side of Evansville.   It happened just north of the Maryland Street crossing around 8:30. The latest on Sunrise.

McLean water grant

Big news from McLean County this morning. Emily Busby will be live with details of a water grant and how it will benefit the area.

Coach Cal in O'boro
