Busy weekend for tri-state food banks

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - A food pantry in Evansville saw one of its largest crowds ever on Saturday.

Adam's Food Pantry at St. Paul's Episcopal Church usually serves about 300 families at a time.

Officials with the food pantry say there are a lot of people who need extra help and with Easter on Sunday, there will be even more.

"It would be nice if we could have hams for everybody. We're luck to have what we have. We pack the boxes with a lot of non-perishables. We just do whatever we can," said Roberta Lenfers, Secretary-Treasurer, Adam's Food Pantry.

Adam's Food Pantry is open every third Saturday of the month.

The food pantry is always in need of donations.

Checks can be mailed to Adam's Food Pantry, P.O. Box 4424, zip code 47724.
