Following a disappointing stretch run in which Evansville went 10-and-21, and missed the Kelly Cup Playoffs by nine points, the Icemen have fired Jeff Pyle.
Pyle was with the Icemen for just one season as head coach and president of hockey operations.
Icemen owner Ron Geary said in a statement that Pyle, "did a good job of evolving our hockey operations but ultimately it wasn't the right fit for us."
Evansville finished the season with an overall record of 31-30 and 11.
They were in 10th place in the Eastern Conference and fourth in the north division.
