LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A Louisville woman has been charged not reporting her business income to get getting state benefits that she should not have received.

An arrest warrant says that between August 1, 2011 and December 31, 2012, Dalephonia Booker, 43, applied for and received SNAP (food stamps), help from KTAP (Kentucky Transitional Assistance Program) and Medicaid benefits for her household. During that same time Booker was the owner of Big Happy Family child care center and her business had a gross income of $592,470.

State officials say the business income was not reported on her applications for benefits and changes in her income were not reported to the state as required. The total loss to the state was $25,910.

Booker was arrested April 17 on three counts of making false statements to receive benefits.
