Freeze warning

Temperatures are 30-35 degrees colder than on Sunday with a powerhouse cold front pushing through on Monday. Early clouds could belt out some light rain and snow…but skies will begin to clear slowly with high temps only in the mid 40s behind strong northwest winds to 15 to 25 miles an hour. Record low temps possible early on Wednesday morning…the record low 28 was set in 1962. Byron will have the 14 First Alert forecast.

Boston stronger

The anniversary of the Boston marathon bombings is being observed today. Vice President Joe Biden and his wife, Jill, are attending a memorial service at Boston's Hynes Convention Center. Biden's office says he will deliver remarks. President Barack Obama will have a private moment of silence at the White House with aides in the Oval Office.

Tax deadline

Time is running out for you to file your 2013 return. You have until midnight tonight to get those returns filed. We'll have some last minute tips.

Dog obedience

The first of several dog obedience training sessions begin in Henderson today.  Deanna Allbrittin is live at the humane society with the details.
