TELL CITY, IN (WFIE) -

A Facebook post leads Indiana State Excise Police to seize a still in Tell City.

Excise officers say they began investigating in February when they got a tip about the Facebook post which appeared to show a still.

Officers found more pictures and posts that indicated a Tell City man was making and distributing untaxed liquor.

Thursday, excise officers served a search warrant at the residence of Jeremy D. Thompson at 623 12th Street in Tell City.

They seized a still and containers that Thompson said were filled with untaxed liquor that he'd made, a hydrometer, and other devices used to make the liquor.

Preliminary charges include possession of unlicensed equipment for the production of alcoholic beverages, sale without a permit, unauthorized dealings, and two charges related to the sale of untaxed alcoholic beverages.
