WindowsXP changes could impact financial institutions

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - Microsoft says it will stop providing security updates for WindowsXP beginning April 8.

The change will affect businesses, but the main concern is banks, credit unions and their ATM's.

ATM's may use the XP software, so financial institutions are upgrading the machines.

Heritage Credit Union, Fifth Third Bank and Old National Bank say the are making upgrades to their security systems as well.
