Lightning sparked a fire in Posey County late Thursday night, prompting multiple fire departments to respond.
It started just before 9:00 p.m. at a vacant house in the 9000 block of Copperline Road near Wadesville.
Officials on the scene say gusty winds caused the fire to spread.
Crews from Marrs, Perry, Wadesville, German and Black Townships spent several hours on scene.
The house is a total loss. The Marrs Township Fire Chief says a farmer owns the property, but no one has lived there for a few years.
The outbuildings and their contents were not damaged. No one was hurt.
