Gov. Pence signs 'scooter bill' into law

The so-called 'scooter bill' is now law in the state of Indiana.

Governor Mike Pence signed HB1343 on Thursday.

The bill requires scooters to be registered with the BMV and have some sort of license plate.

Fees would come to $27.30 per year.

The law goes into effect on January 1, 2015.
