USI holding 44th annual Student Art Exhibition

The University of Southern Indiana's 44th Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition will be on display March 31 through May 4 in the McCutchan Art Center/Pace Galleries.

This year's juror, Lisa Petrulis, is an artist and former director of collections and exhibitions at the Swope Art Museum in Terre Haute.

Petrulis selected 155 works of art created by USI art students in the past year from 351 submitted for inclusion in the show.

More than $7,000 in merit awards, scholarships, and purchase awards, generously donated by area business and individuals, will be announced at a public reception for the artists from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 6. The award winners will be announced at 3 p.m.  

USI students, faculty, staff, and community members are invited to attend the reception and view the exhibition.  Light refreshments will be served.

The McCutchan Art Center/Pace Galleries, located in the lower level of the Liberal Arts Center, is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
