LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The man convicted of murdering a woman scheduled to testify in another murder trial will remain in prison.
A request for shock probation by Steven Pettway was denied March 26 by Judge Angela McCormick Bisig
On March 23, 2009, Troya Sheckles was shot to death while sitting in Louisville's Shelby Park. Pettway was sentenced to 55 years in her murder.
Because Pettway defendant was a juvenile at the time of the crime he was eligible for probation.
