HOPKINS CO., KY (WFIE) -

Schools in Kentucky can't wait any longer for the lawmakers to act legislation regarding make up snow days.

Hopkins County School officials met Wednesday to decide when the last day of school will be.

Schools Superintendent Linda Zellich announced the last day of school will be June 2nd.

The district has missed sixteen days to winter weather.

School officials had hoped those in Frankfort would offer some relief, but when school officials didn't get an answer Monday, they say they had to act.

Officials say the district will meet the required hours of instruction and 170 days of school with the June 2nd date.
