LAWRENCEBURG, IN (FOX19) -

A Lawrenceburg mother is accused of introducing marijuana to a group of teenagers.

Greendale Police say on March 4, a mother came into the police station with her son.

She claimed to have got a call from someone who said her son was bragging at school about smoking marijuana with Karin Hildebrand, a mother, and several teens between the ages of 13 and 15-years-old. After a serious conversation with police, Sgt. Kendle Davis says the 15-year-old boy confessed.

"He stated that they were sitting around the kitchen table and Mrs. Hildebrand had rolled the marijuana up into paper into a joint for them and they sat there at the table and passed the joint around and smoked it," said Sgt. Davis.

Police searched 43-year-old Karin Hildebrand's home finding marijuana and illegal prescription medications. Hildebrand lived alone with her two children, an 8-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl.

She was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of paraphernalia, neglect of a dependent child, possession of marijuana, possession of a legend drug and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

"It's one thing for kids to be mischievous and experiment with narcotics and it wouldn't be unusual for us to catch a group of kids doing it but not with someone at age 43 that went along with it and supplied it to them," says Sgt. Davis.

Police say none of those teenagers are facing charges.

Hildebrand was arrested in 1994 for possession of marijuana and police say she was investigated in 2009 for allegedly purchasing other drugs.
