Police say two boys were in possession of a pellet gun at North Middle School in Henderson.
They say one of the boys was seen pointing the gun at other students, and those students told school officials.
The pellet gun was not loaded and did not work.
Police say both boys were charged with one court of unlawful possession of a weapon on school property and released to their parents.
The principal at North Middle School issued a OneCall voicemail to all parents and guardians about the situation.
Henderson County School administrators will follow the appropriate protocol and board policy regarding disciplinary action.
