VINCENNES, IN (WFIE) -

Roads closed in Vincennes after an overnight fire should reopen soon.

Washington Avenue from College Avenue to Wabash Avenue and College Avenue from Washington Avenue to 8th Street had been closed as crews worked at the scene.  Around 7 a.m. the Vincennes City Fire Department told 14 News those roads should be back open soon.

Knox County Dispatch says the call about the fire came in around midnight EST.  It broke out at the corner of Washington and Wabash Avenues.

The fire department says the fire is now out and that no one was hurt.  They say the building that caught fire was unoccupied.

Crews were on scene throughout the night and early morning hours.

The NBC affiliate in Terre Haute, WTWO, reports the fire destroyed a building, causing parts of it to fall in.  They say it caused dozens of people to lose power, but that the power is now back on.

There is no word yet about what caused the fire.
