Missing plane from French Lick found

CANON, GA (WFIE) -

The wreckage of a missing plane from French Lick has been found in Monroe County, Tennessee.

WBIR-TV says the plane was found in the Goat Creek area near Calderwood Dam on Monday.

Monroe County Sheriff Bill Bivens said the pilot died in the crash.  He was the only person on board.

The plane left French Lick on Sunday but never reached its destination of Canon, Georgia.

The investigation continues into what caused the plane to crash.
