Geocaching is an outdoor hobby that uses GPS coordinates to find hidden 'caches', or treasures.
Jim Phillips uncovered something illegal Wednesday afternoon while geocaching.
Jim says he's been doing it for about a year now and knows how to download the coordinates and find the treasure.
A cache usually contains small toys, but on Wednesday while hunting near Washington with his nephew, Jim says he stumbled upon what he though was the mother-load of all caches.
"I found this big old duffle bag with an orange ribbon tied around it," said Jim. "I was thinking it was maybe mafia money. I was thinking about buying million dollar homes in Colorado. In fact, I thought about buying the whole state."
Sadly, he was mistaken.
When Jim opened up the bag he saw jars, a little hot plate, and asetone.
He says he called the police immediately. A Knox County Sheriff's Deputy confirmed the bag Jim found was a portable meth lab.
Jim geocaches for the experience but he says he was simply glad he was able to help authorities find and then get rid of the meth lab.
