Easter Seals 'Home Run Sweeps' ticket sales in a slump

Easter Seals is hoping that you can help them out of their ticket sales slump.

There's only one week left until the annual Home Run Sweeps all-cash raffle drawing.

All the money raised goes toward helping people in the community afford needed physical, speech and occupational therapies.

It also pays for therapies that pre-school students receive.

If Easter Seals cannot sell at least 600 more tickets, families in need will find themselves on a wait list, "You never want to tell a mom or a dad that we can't help their kid yet.  We don't want to have to tell somebody, 'You're gonna have to wait.' That is really just a heartbreaking position to be in," said Pam Kirk, Community Relations Director.

The Home Run Sweeps drawing is next Friday, March 28. Tickets are $100 each.

The all-cash raffle will award a $100,000 grand prize; a $10,000 second prize; and a third prize of $5000.

You can buy tickets from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (CDT) weekdays, and from 8:00 am - noon on the day of the drawing, at the Easter Seals Rehabilitation Center, 3701 Bellemeade Avenue, Evansville.

The Easter Seals Rehabilitation Center serves 5,550 individuals from 30 area counties and no one is turned away due to inability to pay for therapy.
