WARRICK CO., IN (WFIE) -

A vacant home was destroyed in a Wednesday night fire in northern Warrick County.

The fire broke out around 8:30 p.m. on Tennyson Road near Franz Road, north of Degonia Springs. Crews said flames were shooting from the roof when they arrived on scene.

Our crew on scene told us you could see the glow from miles away. Multiple fire departments, including a number of rural volunteer departments were there to help.

Officials say the home is a rental property with no electric and was vacant at the time. We're told fire officials believe the blaze is suspicious. It's still under investigation.

Tennyson Road was blocked to all non-emergency traffic while crews put out the flames.

Crews were sent back out to the scene Thursday morning after more smoke was reported coming from the home.
