Posted: Updated:

In case you haven't noticed, the pollen level is on the rise. And get ready, officials say the harsh winter we had is going to make for a harsher allergy season.

Allergist Jason White M.D., with Deaconess, says there are many ways for people to deal with their allergies. One of the most effective is allergy injections.

Other ways include closing your windows or investing in an air filtration system.

"At the first sign of symptoms, it's always best to start your medications, especially if you're a regular seasonal sufferer. Every spring, your eyes water, your nose runs, get on top of it take those medications early to prevent the symptoms from getting out of hand," White says.
