An Evansville organization that helps those in need was open for business Saturday.
Adam's Food Pantry in downtown Evansville will be open on the third Saturday of the month.
Families in need can go to the pantry at St. Paul's Episcopal Church as early as 10:30 a.m. to pick up their ticket.
Then they go through the line to pick up everything from milk to deer meat.
The pantry has been open for 17 years and one student found out that it is an organization that is always open to new volunteers.
"The best part about today was getting to help a lot of people and it was just a great experience to make people's days and give them the things they need," said Sydney Maurer.
Organizers say the food pantry helped over 3,000 families in 2013.
