A body that was found Friday afternoon has been identified as a missing Illinois woman.
Officials say a resident found the body of Kathryn McGill lying on top of corn stalk debris around 12:45 p.m. Friday near a creek that feeds into the White River.
Officials say a vehicle occupied by Adam and Kathryn McGill was swept from State Road 257 at the Pike-Daviess County line into flood waters of the White River.
Adam was rescued by nearby hunters but Kathryn was unable to be found.
Warrick County Public Information Officer Mike Kellner tells 14 News the resident that found the body owns property nearby.
The cause of death has been ruled as a drowning.
