An Evansville teenager is facing gun and drug charges.
Deputies say they tried to pull him over Thursday night at Lodge and Covert for running a stop sign.
They say the teen kept driving on Covert, and recklessly sped through the Simpson Food Market parking lot.
Authorities say the driver then headed south on Lodge and onto Conlin, where the deputy saw him throw a handgun from the car.
The chase finally ended at Herbert Avenue and Maple Court.
Sheriff's deputies and police officers took several teens into custody.
They say the 17-year-old driver had several baggies of marijuana, and some meth.
He faces four felonies, and 5 misdemeanors.
