EPD: Suspect in jail after seriously injuring man with knife

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

An Evansville man is in jail after injuring another man with a knife.

Officials say 22-year-old Jacob Hubert Cobb was arrested Monday night. He's accused of attacking Christopher Compton.

Cobb is being charged with battery causing a serious injury with a knife. 

Police say the attack happened in the 200 block of West Michigan Street around 11.

Officials say Compton was taken to Deaconess Hospital with injuries to his head. He was treated and received over a dozen stitches.

The investigation continues.
